BIG AIR SURFERS WORKOUT
Today I got a Surfers Workout (below) so that you will improve the likely hood of boosting and landing a big air. Now it’s obvious that one must be a pretty accomplished surfer all ready and it is also a no-brainer that one has to practice over and over in the water.
However, there are also some great surfing training skills that you can practice on land during your surfers workouts to aid in power, lift, co-ordination, spacial awareness and stomping lands.
Before we look into what I recommend, check out the Medina pulled in the pre-contest warm up surfs in Portugal. Mental or what?

Add Visualization into your Surfers Workout
A lot of people do not realize just how powerful this is for your surfing. Your mind (if your visualization method is good) actually believes you are performing the maneuver. So this means you can improve your big air in the comfort of the arm chair when it is flat. Good or great?
The next thing is to watch the body position and leg position change from getting speed to in the air and back to landing. The feet position change, so when your doing your surfers workout be sure to include quick foot work while doing something else at the same time (juggling while skipping. Try that?) Seriously, speed ladders and athletic foot speed work can really help surfers.
I would also recommend getting some rotational type jumps into your Surfers workouts - things like mini tramps or trampolining or bosu ball movements. I have a video coming out soon that you can enjoy so keep your eyes peeled! Until then keep your surfing workouts short sharp and real.
Enjoy Your Ride
